This is an antique silverplate piece. The outside has a raised grape and leaf elaborate design. The inside is smooth and oval, measuring about 4 x 5 inches. This stands about 3 1/4" high with a swing handle. This has a older pewter type look; the inside of the bowl has some staining but I did not find any pits. This is an unmarked piece. I think this was used to hold sugar cubes. You are buying it as it is.
